Shaheen is a Los Angeles based theatre artist.  She is originally from Bombay, India.  She has acted in shows from off-Broadway and one woman shows to major regional theatres to television and film.  She has directed numerous classical and contemporary plays and musicals.  She has produced, dramaturged and assistant directed.  She has taught at the college and high school level.  She creates original ensemble pieces.  She has done these things at The Mark Taper Forum, The Public Theatre, the New Group, New York Theatre Workshop, Yale Repertory Theatre, Cornerstone Theatre Co., Epic Theatre Ensemble, Two River Theatre,Theatre at Boston Court, East West Players, USC and CalArts.
